About Homeschool360
Hi, I'm Dechanda — most folks call me Dee. I'm not a homeschool teacher. I'm a grandmother in Birmingham, Alabama, and homeschool360 is built from what I've lived and what I've watched.
Years ago, I homeschooled my youngest son for his 10th grade year. He's 28 now. At the time, it was one of the hardest things I'd taken on — not because of him, but because the information was scattered everywhere. What was I required to teach? What regulations did I have to comply with? How many hours per day, how many hours per week? Did I need to keep records, and if so, what kind? I had to search across a dozen different places to piece together answers, and even then I was never sure I had it right. The process was a hassle, and it was expensive — every guide that looked useful cost money I didn't always have.
My oldest son and his wife homeschool their three children — my grandbabies. She trained as a teacher; she graduated from Troy State University. Watching her teach her own kids has brought me right back to my own experience years ago, except this time I can see clearly what would have helped me back then.
And it's not just my family. So many people I know are homeschooling now for all kinds of reasons. Some pulled their kids out of public school because it wasn't working. Some have careers that move them around the country. Some just want their children's education in their own hands. Every one of them has run into the same wall I did: too much information in too many places, and most of the useful parts hidden behind a paywall.
That's why I built homeschool360.
Homeschool360 is the one place I wished I'd had — a starting point for parents who are figuring this out for the first time, and a resource for parents who are already in it but tired of paying for every download.
You don't have to be a credentialed teacher to teach your child well. You just need a place that tells you the truth and gives you tools that actually work.
What you'll find here
- State-by-state homeschool law and compliance information, all in one place
- Free printables, templates, and record-keeping tools you can use without giving up your email
- Honest writing from someone who's been on both sides — the parent who did it, and the grandmother watching it happen now
I'm not selling you a course. I'm not running a membership. The site has some ads on it — that's how I keep the lights on so the resources stay free for you. If you find one thing here that saves you a hard week, we're even.

The studio behind it
Homeschool360 is one project of MsDee360 Studio LLC, a small independent studio based in Birmingham, Alabama. The studio builds web tools, educational apps, and digital products with a consistent philosophy: make useful things, give them away when possible, and respect the time and intelligence of the people who use them.
The studio is a one-person operation. Every article on this site is written by hand. Every tool is coded, tested, and maintained by the same person who answers the email. If you ever reach out through the contact page, the reply comes from a human, not a support ticket system.
A note on accuracy
Every effort is made to keep the state legal guides accurate, but homeschool law changes. State Departments of Education revise forms, deadlines, and requirements regularly, and new ESA programs and education laws have been moving through statehouses across the country since 2024. The information on this site is a starting point. Always confirm current requirements with your state's official source before filing any official paperwork.
If you spot something out of date or incorrect, please let me know. I'd rather hear about it from a reader than find out from a parent who got caught off-guard.
